Digital international workshop connects European and U.S. life science companies

How can European and U.S. medical technology companies cooperate best to be competitive on the global market? How can an internationalization strategy be implemented in the best possible way? These and other questions will be addressed at the virtual workshop "Europe meets USA 2022 - Microtechnologies as a Key Enabler for Life Science Applications" organized by the IVAM Microtechnology Network on the afternoon of June 30, 2022.  

Microtechnical products for life science applications

Presentations and discussions will address current issues relating to microtechnology and microtechnical products for life science applications: Where can microcomponents solve the challenges of modern medical technology? How can modern products, such as mobile point-of-care diagnostics, wearables, smart implants or vaccines and drugs, produced in microfluidic systems, be developed, produced and used sustainably and cost-effectively?  

Effectively expanding international contact network

The focus of the event is on cooperations between component manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and users from Europe and the US, joint R&D projects and the exchange of experience on the challenges of the respective markets. The aim is to establish effective contacts.    

Support for internationalization

Participants receive useful information for the internationalization strategy of their companies, e.g. on legal and regulatory framework conditions as well as on intercultural aspects. In best-practice examples, companies from the U.S. and Europe show how a successful market entry can be achieved. International medical technology companies will present themselves in a pitch session. During interactive networking, there will be the opportunity to exchange contact data and hold concrete discussions.  

The event is aimed at medical technology companies along the entire value chain: from technology developers, component manufacturers, software, testing and analytics companies to medical device manufacturers.
