INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials, situated in Saarbrücken, is an internationally leading research centre for innovative materials. It offers research and development, from molecule to pilot production, in the three research fields Nanocomposite Technology, Interface Materials and Bio Interfaces. INM houses a highly qualified team of chemists, physicists, biologist, materials scientists and engineers. It partners scientifically with national and international institutes and develops materials with custom-made properties for companies worldwide. In particular, INM provides solutions in the areas of new materials for energy applications, new concepts for medical surfaces, new surface materials for tribological applications and nano safety nano bio. INM is an institute of the Leibniz Association and has about 210 employees.
