IVAM has been organizing a joint exhibition area at the trade fair in Singapore for several years. The reasons are manifold: Singapore is a great entry point into the ASEAN market, English as an official language makes many things easy, which might be otherwise challenging in other parts of Asia The trade fair itself is linked to the Medical Fair Asia - similar to COMPAMED to MEDICA - and thus has a comparable audience structure with regard to component and equipment manufacturers.
At trade fairs abroad, we always try to set up an exciting supporting program, for example by visiting companies on site. This year, together with representatives of IVAM member companies, we visited the companies AMT and Cosmology.
I particularly remember a really great business lunch inbetween our company visits. Cosmology invited us to the Marina Bistro in Raffles Marina. The view was fantastic and the menu offered a delicious international selection that catered for every palate, from local specialties to Indian and Western cuisine. On the recommendation of our host we tried the typical local dessert Cendol. A real insider tip for all who like to try local and unusual desserts. IIt's kind of ''work of art'' with different color effects.
The IVAM Joint Area was again placed in a good spot this year: Good visibility and a satisfying flow of visitors ensured that we and our exhibitors had many qualified contacts. All in all is was a successful show. The international IVAM Forum ''High-Tech for Medical Devices" focused on topics from Europe, USA and Japan and was well received by the trade show audience.
In cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf Asia, we awarded the IVAM Marketing Prize Asia for the first time this year. The three finalists were the companies Accumold, Cosmology and Oliver Healthcare Packaging.
Among the applicants, the team of Oliver Heathcare Packaging from Singapore was able to prevail and won not only the winner's trophy, a Dortmund Rhino, but also an one-year-IVAM membership and an advertisement at the next edition of Medical Manufacturing Asia 2024.
The joy was great for the Oliver Healthcare Packing team, who attended the award ceremony with a large crew, when the winner was announced at the stage of the trade fair forum. The whole IVAM team is looking forward to the future cooperation with Oliver Healthcare Packing. A big thank you to the Wirtschaftsförderung Dortmund/ City of Dortmund who sponsored the Rhino trophy.

I am especially looking forward to coming back to Singapore every two years, because it really an awesome meeting place to see partners, exhibitors and old friends again. It was a great pleasure to be able to continue the great and long-standing partnerships, such as with Messe Düsseldorf Asia and Singapore Precision Engineering and Tooling Association (SPETA).
Another highlight for me was the invitation of our member Sandvik Materials, who had invited us to their booth for the ceremonial announcement of their change of name to Alleima. With a surprise cake from the fair organizers, Messe Duesseldorf, a toast was made at the Alleima booth
