The company Polytec GmbH located in Waldbronn, Germany, received the 6th IVAM Marketing Prize on March 25, 2014. The award ceremony took place in Stuttgart during the annual general meeting of the IVAM Microtechnology Network.

Polytec develops, manufactures and distributes optical high-tech solutions for R&D and industrial quality control. The company applied for the prize with a poster campaign that visualizes successful applications of the Polytec measurement systems by using non-technical, emotional photos. A total of eight different posters shows how to measure things like „thrill“ or „confidence“ that are actually not physically measurable. The link between the posters and the products is the fact that Polytec products are able to measure the seemingly impossible. Originally the campaign was planned to improve the employee motivation. Due to its great success in the internal communication, Polytec decided to use the images for corporate communication as well, e.g. on their website.

Beside Polytec the companies aceos from Fürth, Plan Optik from Elshoff and Feinmess Dresden were among the finalists for the IVAM Marketing Prize. The evaluation criteria were the strategic approach, creativity, innovation, originality and suitability for business-to-business communication.
