COMPAMED Innovation Forum 2022

Innovative Technologies for Neurological Applications (Last chance for registration)

With the COMPAMED Innovation Forum, current medical technology topics are presented once a year by leading experts and discussed with the participants to identify current challenges and solutions and to prepare them for the relevant topics at COMPAMED, the largest European trade fair for suppliers to medical production.

In cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf, IVAM organizes this year's COMPAMED Innovation Forum as a digital event on June 02, 2022.

One billion people suffer from central nervous system disorder

Neurological and mental diseases of the brain are not a marginal phenomenon. These diseases burden the lives of many patients and their relatives. According to WHO estimates, one billion people worldwide suffer from disorders of the central nervous system, e.g. depression, dementia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease or the consequences of a stroke.

The treatment of diseases of the central nervous system cannot be carried out exclusively within the framework of drug therapy. Today, innovative medical technologies also help to improve the quality of life of those affected. Unlike pharmaceuticals, which help regulate the chemical system in the human body, neuroimplants target the electrical nerve pathways of the spinal cord and brain.

Lectures and discussions present technical solutions

The presentations will show various products and applications. In addition to implants, technical aids for the care and support of patients with neurological diseases will also play an important role. In the subsequent discussions, users can discuss the new developments and further needs with researchers and manufacturers.

The lectures will be held in English.
