Zoom Meeting

Discuss with other IVAM members the current trends and developments in advanced thin films for roll-to-roll processed energy technologies.

The Electronics Lunch Talk on the topic: "What contribution can flexible and hybrid electronics make to sustainability?" will take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.(CET).

The development of thin films for energy conversion and storage technologies has become an important part of our green energy transition. Roll-to-roll manufacturing of thin films allows new technologies to be mass-produced at low cost, supporting barrier-free market introduction. This concerns, for example, flexible organic and hybrid solar cells as well as storage devices such as supercapacitors.

How can advanced thin films for roll-to-roll processed energy technologies be mass produced cost-effectively?

Professor Morten Madsen, Syddansk University, Denmark, presents in his talk on "Advanced thin films for roll-to-roll processed energy technologies" the upscaling from research scale to industrial scale using roll-to-roll technology. The focus is on improving device performance through detailed tuning of thin film properties, enabling industrial implementation at low cost.

The Electronics Lunch Talk provides a basis for discussion on opportunities and trend directions for companies from the flexible and hybrid electronics sector, as well as from the energy technology sector. In addition to the presentations, the discussion round will provide an opportunity for networking and the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The necessary dial-in data for the Zoom video conference will be sent out shortly before the event!

Participation in IVAM Focus Group meetings is free of charge for association members. Non-members may attend three times for a fee. In this case we charge an administration fee of 50,00 € (plus VAT), which is also due in case of non-participation. Of course, it is possible to register a substitute participant at any time and without additional costs.
