MD&M West 2015

From February 10-12, 2015 the world's largest trade fair for design and manufacturing in medical technology and the connected conference will take place in Anaheim, California, USA. The IVAM Microtechnology Network is going to organize a joint pavilion in 2015 again and is thereby reinforcing its leading position as international high-tech network. In response to the great demand for next year's exhibition, IVAM is planning to expand the area. Within the MD&M West the IVAM joint pavilion will then be branded on a special area “MicroNanoTechnology“ for the first time to provide more guidance to the visitors.
 
The key issues were manufacturing and processing for materials that are used in medical devices, such as polymers and other plastic materials, metal alloys, glass or silicon as well as 3D structuring for the production of medical components. Functional coatings with antimicrobial characteristics, smart textiles, e-health solutions and innovative monitoring systems were also topics of the exhibition and the co-located conference.

International networking as well as the exchange of innovations in the high-tech sector is in the foreground. Thanks to the main organiser UBM Canon the MD&M has attracted ever more and more exhibitors and visitors since 1984. In 5 halls more than 2,000 exhibitors present themselves to the trade public in Anaheim over the term of three days, including professional developers and decision makers from the manufacturing industry of medical technology.
