Modern medical technology requires more than just components: it demands intelligent, networked, and patient-centered solutions.

Session "Intelligent smart health and care solutions from the field of microtechnology”

In our IVAM Focus Group session on May 6, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at MedtecLIVE 2026 on the topic of “Intelligent smart health and care solutions from the field of microtechnology” we will show how microtechnology, miniaturization, and smart system integration are opening up new avenues for health and care applications. From microfluidic systems and sensor-based monitoring modules to digital assistance solutions, we will highlight how small technological innovations can have a big impact.

One of our Focus Group leaders, Dr. Jens Ebnet from Ebnet Medical GmbH, will guide you through the program.

The session will feature technical, application-driven presentations, covering topics such as:

  • Florian Siemenroth, Bartels Mikrotechnik GmbH: “To Revolutionize Healthcare by Providing Actionable Information When It’s Needed Most” - Has Microfluidics Really Delivered for MedTech?
  • Michiel Twisk, imec: Enabling the next frontier in Medical Technologies through advanced miniaturization & silicon technologies.
  • Caroline Reßing, Fraunhofer IMS: "From Sensor to Solution – Microtechnology Innovations for the Connected Healthcare of Tomorrow"
  • John Watson, LEE Hydraulische Miniaturkomponenten GmbH: “Cutting-edge pumps and fluidic components that enable innovation in medical devices; as good tools improve the way you work, and great tools improve the way you think”
