Bartels is specialized in innovative applications of micro systems technology. The main focus of the company is the medical field. Due to the benefits of the pump, e.g. size, weight or low energy Bartels micropumps are already well used in drug delivery and diagnostics systems. The second business segment of Bartels is offering development services. Since many years the team of Bartels microEngineering has initiated a high number of product innovations around the micropump. The team has a lot of experience in supporting customers from the first idea of a microsystem to the serial production.

With Bartels Mikrotechnik, fluidics becomes simple. As an innovative and competent partner, we develop application-oriented fluid-handling systems for liquids and gases: compact in miniature format, powerful, and suitable for both microliter and milliliter applications. With our expertise in fluidics, electronics, software, and application knowledge, we make complex processes accessible and reliable for our customers. 

As a full-service partner for custom solutions, we deliver fluidics prototypes in a scalable and risk-free manner within just 4–6 weeks, precisely tailored to our customers’ requirements. We offer custom project scopes ranging from individual projects to flexible series solutions and support our customers from the first idea to the finished application. 

Our own fluidics components, fully developed and manufactured in our laboratories in Dortmund, Germany, form the technological foundation of our solutions. At the core of our applications is The Bartels Pump | BP7, which serves as the powerful driving element of our systems. Combined with sensors, valves, and microfluidic chips from selected partners, we create complete, application-ready kits that are perfectly coordinated. This symbiotic combination of in-house development, manufacturing, and partner solutions enables us to deliver the optimal solution for every challenge.
