Fraunhofer EMFT micropumps meet a wide range of requirements in the field of medical technology. The silicon pump models with a minimum size of 3.5x3.5x0.6 mm3 and high pressure abilities enable new products in the field of diabetes, tumor, hormone or pain therapy systems as well as implants. The larger stainless steel micropumps are mainly used in infusion and vacuum therapy for the treatment of chronic wounds. The piezoelectrically driven pumps are self-priming, bubble tolerant and sterilizable.
