A Platform for ultra-sensitive Point-of-Care Diagnostics for Infectious Diseases: The EU-funded PoC-ID project has developed a prototype of a point-of-care system for the diagnosis of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections in the pediatric context. The PoC-ID point-of-care platform combines the detection of both pathogens and host responses leading to more accurate diagnosis as compared to the current standard which is focused on detection of pathogens only.
