The digital event series Spotlights of Micro and Nanotechnology will provide insights into the recent state of the art on various topics and aspects of micro and nanotechnologies. The event series will focus on innovative developments, but also on cross-disciplinary relevant topics of the high-tech industry. IVAM initiates the Spotlight series in cooperation with the Regionales Berufsbildungszentrum des Kreises Steinburg (RBZ). The event will take place regularly on the first Tuesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. and thus ensure a continuous information gain.
On May 06, 2025 from 9 to 11 a.m., the Spotlight Series on "Photonics in Action: From Photonic Design to Tunable Lasers and Quantum Applications" will take place.
Discover the critical first step in photonic integrated circuit (PIC) development — the design process — and see how it sets the foundation for successful chip fabrication, packaging, and assembly. Then, find out how tunable lasers built on advanced PIC technology work, how they are fabricated, and how they are driving innovation in fields like healthcare, coherent optical communication, fiber sensing, LiDAR, quantum and more. In addition to experts from Epiphany and Chilas, a special guest from TwinPhotonics will present entangled photon sources, combining advanced PIC design and tunable lasers to empower today's innovations in quantum technologies.
You can look forward to Dr. Jörn Epping (Epiphany Design), Dr. Dimitri Geskus (Chilas Lasers) and Jan Heine (Twin Photonics).
The event series is aimed at interested parties from the high-tech industry and professionals from the fields of business development, research & development, management, project and product development, and technology.
Join us for the new event series Spotlights of Micro- and Nanotechnology and get a regular overview of the latest technological applications, innovations and cross-disciplinary relevant topics of the high-tech industry! Participation is free of charge, but subject to registration.
