IMT has its roots in the microstructuring of metallic coatings on planar optical substrates. Over the years, we have continuously expanded this core competence with complementary technologies.

Today, our solutions are used in the semiconductor industry, medical technology, biophotonics, sports optics, microfluidics, optical metrology and a lot more.

In addition to applications focusing on optical functions, the IMT product range also includes components with electronic and/or mechanical functions.

Our microfluidic components combine the entire spectrum in one element. Etched microchannels, through-holes (TGV), patterned metallic and dielectric coatings, electronic conductors (electrodes) and optical gratings, for example, are possible thanks to state-of-the-art semiconductor technology.

Further functionalities can be combined, resulting in the diversity of our products for the various markets: micro-structured coatings, thin-film waveguides with coupling gratings, calibration plates, electronic components and much more.
