MMT GmbH in Siegen has been awarded the seventh IVAM Marketing Prize for its all-round communication of a product launch on March 26, 2015. FRT, Fries Research & Technology GmbH in Bergisch-Gladbach is the winner in the special category "video". Both awards were presented during a gala dinner on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the IVAM Microtechnology Network at Casino Hohensyburg in Dortmund.

MMT GmbH develops and manufactures micro components, microsystems and manufacturing equipment. These include, for example, micro dosing pumps, complex microfluidic systems, active biochips, micro sensors and micro valves. Subject of the application was a comprehensive marketing campaign for the introduction of the air conditioning disinfector "Airtune", which is used as end product in motor vehicles. The implemented measures included name and logo design, corporate design, internet presence and POS advertising material. The jury praised the courage to introduce a product for consumers, and was particularly impressed by the holistic concept, the great creativity with which it presents the benefits for the user, and the good slogan for the campaign.

The video of FRT GmbH was described by the jury as exemplary for medium-sized companies. It convinced the jury with its matter-of-fact, structured and purposeful presentation and its excellent suitability for international markets.

Other nominated finalists for the IVAM Marketing Prize, in addition to MMT and FRT, were Polytec GmbH in Waldbronn, Raith GmbH and ELMOS AG in Dortmund, and Sensirion AG Staefa / Zurich.

Criteria by which the 6-member expert jury evaluated the concepts and videos were, among others, creativity, innovation, aesthetics, strategic and technical approach, information content, relevance, originality and suitability for the target group. Jury members this year were Horst Giesen (Messe Düsseldorf), Severin Dahms (Gira Giersiepen GmbH & Co. KG), Frank Deiter (editor of Mikroproduktion magazine) Dr. Thomas Fries (FRT, voting only for the main category), Prof. Dr. Uwe Kleinkes (Hamm-Lippstadt University), and Markus Rall (viality e.K.).
