Retraining in microtechnology in the MST region Dortmund

To meet the need for highly qualified professionals in the fields of semiconductor and microsystems technology, RAG Bildung GmbH will start an education retraining as "micro engineer" with an ICC's degree after 24 months on February 1, 2008.

During this time, the participants learn all basic manufacturing skills in theoretical and practical lessons. Furthermore, comprehensive knowledge of process engineering, equipment engineering and facility management will be imparted. Also the areas of electrical engineering, chemistry and quality management are completely covered. In the second section of the retraining, the participants have the opportunity to transfer their knowledge into local enterprises during an internship.

With the retraining courses the established Education Center Dortmund with its Microtechnology Department responds to the rapid development of microsystems technology and the resulting needs of the high-tech companies in the region of Dortmund, Germany.
