The workshop “Micro Total Analysis Systems – Prospects, Applications and Commercialisation” will take place on October 7, 2009 within the fair Biotechnica 2009 in Hanover, Germany.
Complete micro total analysis systems (µTAS) up to now are rare on the market due to the complexity of integration of different functionalities into one single system as well as due to the missing acceptance by the user.
The workshop gives an interdisciplinary overview about the status quo and latest research results in the area of µTAS. A description of advantages and limitations will be followed by indicating the variety of possible applications. Furthermore, insights into the commercialization of microsystems will be given.
The speakers are experts from industry companies, including innovation leaders such as Roche, Qiagen, EADS, NorChip, Siemens, Schott Instruments, Yole Developpement, thinxxs and Leister. The workshop is organized by Institut für Mikrotechnik Mainz (IMM). For further information and registration please visit www.imm-mainz.de.
