Izon Science Limited (Izon) has recently released its full version 1.0 nanoparticle analysis instruments, qNano and qViro.  The first instruments were dispatched in late September 2009 and since then a total of 23 instruments have been shipped to 8 countries around the world.

Izon is a New Zealand based nanotechnology company focused on detection, measurement, analysis and single particle control at the nanoscale. Since commencement in early 2005, Izon has developed the science, hardware and software to fabricate and control dynamically tunable nanopores - this real-time tunability is a unique feature of the Izontechnology platform, called SIOS (Scanning Ion Occlusion Spectroscopy). Izon’s flexible nanopore platform is world-leading in offering a portable, affordable, robust and highly flexible technology for particle detection, quantitation and characterisation at the nanoscale across a wide range of applications, including:
- Real-time nanoparticle measurement (relative size, charge, geometry, aggregation and mixed population analysis)
- Real-time particle-particle reaction monitoring
- Virus detection and quantitation
- Molecular Diagnostics
- Biomolecule analysis
