The IVAM Microtechnology Network has announced changes to its Executive Board. Dr. Reinhard Völkel of Focuslight Switzerland SA has been newly elected to the board. Long-standing Deputy Chair Matthias Lorenz has stepped down from his position. He is succeeded by Bärbel Schilling, who was elected as the new Deputy Chair.
The elections took place on May 21, 2025, during the IVAM General Assembly, held at the Dortmund football stadium.
The five-member Executive Board now consists of Dominique Bouwes (Chair), Bärbel Schilling (Deputy Chair), Dr. Albert Hasper (Phix B.V.), Martin Hovestadt (Jüke Systemtechnik GmbH), and Dr. Reinhard Völkel (Focuslight Switzerland SA).
The General Assembly was held in conjunction with the IVAM Hightech Summit, one of the leading conferences in the microtechnology sector. A celebratory ceremony also marked the 30th anniversary of the IVAM Microtechnology Network, bringing together companions and pioneers from the past three decades to commemorate the organization’s achievements and milestones.
