The interdisciplinary conference "Plastics meets Electronics" will take place from January 29-30, 2020 in Leipzig. The organizer is the Kunststoff-Zentrum in Leipzig (KUZ) together with its partner Silicon Saxony e.V..

Electrical engineering/electronics (E&E) has become an indispensable part of our lives. Examples of this are applications in the fields of IT technology, medical technology, household appliances, power tools as well as the entire field of energy technology and (e)mobility. Electronization is a megatrend and makes our lives easier.

Special challenges for the use of plastics in electronics

Plastics play an important role in the development and manufacture of many E&E products. The special challenges for the use of plastics in the various E&E applications, such as IT and displays, microelectronics and sensor technology, connectors and (e)mobility will be discussed at the conference.

The wide-ranging lecture programme offers companies in the plastics and E&E industries a high level of technical input and various impulses for the exchange of ideas. In addition to the accompanying trade exhibition, various excursions to renowned industrial companies and the HTWK in Leipzig await trade visitors on the first day of the event. An evening event with an exciting lecture to the generation Y, regarding the recruitment of young specialists and their needs rounds the meeting off.
