Automotive industry back among top markets for microtechnology – medical technology continues to lead

The medical and healthcare sector is of growing importance for the microtechnology industry. More than half of European companies are supplying this market. For nearly a quarter (24.4%), it is the most important target market – two years ago it was just about 16%.
 
The automotive industry has recently experienced a growth spurt around the world. For the microtechnology industry, too, this market has become more important again during the past two years. Automotive technology is the major target market for 11.1% of companies – in 2013 this applied to only 4%.
