Zoom-Meeting

Discuss with other IVAM members the current trends and developments in the field of photonic quantum sensing.

The next digital meeting of the IVAM Photonics Focus Group will take place on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 08:00 a.m. to 09:30 a.m. (CEST).

In the first part, Dr. Sylvain Karlen from CSEM will present their activities in the field of photonic quantum sensing. As a public-private, non-profit Swiss technology innovation centre, the CSEM accompanies its products from science to industrial product and thus promotes competitiveness through its innovations.

Afterwards, Dr. Katharina Jag-Lauber from Q.ANT will give an overview of photonic quantum sensing at Q.ANT. What are the limits in magnometry and atomic gyroscopes and how can these be successfully pushed with the help of quantum sensor technology?

What are the benefits of these systems, where can they be used, and what are the challenges of using them?

These and further questions will be discussed at the next Photonics Focus Group meeting. This will provide a basis for discussion on opportunities and trend directions for photonics companies. In addition to the talks, the discussion round will provide the opportunity for networking and the exchange of knowledge and experience.

In the second part of the meeting, further activities of the Focus Group will be coordinated.

Registration for IVAM members

The necessary access data for the Zoom video conference will be sent out shortly before the event!

Participation in IVAM Focus Group meetings is free of charge for association members. Non-members may attend three times for a fee. In this case, we charge an administrative fee of € 50.00 (plus VAT), which is also due in case of non-participation. Of course, it is possible to nominate a substitute participant at any time and without additional costs.
