Bronkhorst Cori-Tech B.V. has released a new model in its series of compact Coriolis mass flow meters/controllers for accurate measurement and control of low flow rates. The mini CORI-FLOW full scale capacity has therefore been extended from 1 kg/h to 30 kg/h. The instrument is suitable for both liquid and gas flow applications. The miniature Coriolis sensor works irrespectively of changing operating conditions with regard to pressure, temperature, density, conductivity and viscosity. The effective turndown is no less than 1,000:1, with on-site possibility for the user to re-range the instrument to individual requirements.

The instrument has a robust IP65 weatherproof housing and is available with approval for use in hazardous areas (ATEX category 3/zone 2). Mini CORI-FLOW offers integrated PID control and close-coupled control valves or pumps, thus constituting compact Coriolis mass flow control loops.

Further features include state-of-the-art digital technology, offering standard analogue and RS-232 communication, optional fieldbus interfaces and additional functions such as alarms, a totalizer (to measure fluid consumption) and batch dosing. The instrument features fluid temperature and density as secondary digital outputs.

Typical application areas are research laboratories, pilot plants, semiconductor and fuel cell processing, food and pharmaceutical industry, analytical installations, micro-reactors, surface technology and anywhere requiring direct mass flow measurement independent of fluid properties.
