On June 2, 2026, PI Ceramic will host the annual PI Ceramic Academy in Lederhose, Germany. This free expert event brings together specialists from research, development, and industry to discuss current trends, innovative applications, and future technologies in the field of piezo technology.
The event opens with two keynote presentations from leading experts in science and medical technology. Prof. Dr. Florian Steinmeyer and Milan Fritsche from the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg will present cutting-edge research on the use of ultrasound in the brain, ranging from skull aberration measurement to optical computed tomography of sound pressure. Dr. Moritz Herzog from Technische Universität Dresden and the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health will provide insights into modern ultrasound diagnostics and compare MEMS and piezo technologies for medical applications.
The program also includes practical presentations from PI Ceramic on ultrasound transducers for medical technology, lead-free piezoceramics, and piezoceramic multilayer actuators. Participants will gain valuable insights into innovative technologies, industrial applications, and future developments in advanced piezo solutions. A special highlight of the event is the company tour, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at PI Ceramic’s production facilities and the opportunity to connect directly with experts on site.
