Kongresszentrum Dortmund im Mercure Hotel Messe & Kongress Westfalenhallen, Rheinlanddamm 200, 44139 Dortmund, Germany
In 2017, IVAM Microtechnology Network is organizing the inaugural IVAM High-Tech Summit. This conference is set to bring together the leading experts from the high-tech field on an annual basis to tackle current challenges and discuss trailblazing solutions.

The upcoming event will address the pressing issues of digitalization of all areas of our lives. This issue is currently much discussed. But what does this mean for small and medium-sized enterprises? How does digitalization influence workflows and customer relationships? How do companies have to react to the new possibilities and requirements? Which partners are needed to develop and build a digitalization strategy?

The High-Tech Summit is supposed to provide answers to these questions, to present possible concepts and to discuss their feasibility. Directly to the program.

Products for digitalization
High-tech SMEs develop and produce components such as sensors, actuators and MEMS products; without these components digitalization would not be possible at all. Customers are often major companies that have already made great progress in digitalization. Companies such as Siemens AG and others will describe their demands on their suppliers at the Summit and present their digitalized products and workflows in the areas of industry 4.0, medical technology or smart home.

Digitalization of processes and products at SMEs
In a further focal point, the event will answer the question, in which areas digitalization concepts are also useful for SMEs. This concerns both the automation of production and organizational processes (industry 4.0) and the digitalization of the products themselves. There are a number of IT companies that support the digitalization of SMEs as potential partners. Lectures by the com2m GmbH from the adesso group as well as the MA microautomation GmbH show possible products in these areas. In the accompanying exhibition, a number of young IT companies are available as co-operation partners for joint projects.

New business models through digitalization
In general, business models will change or advance in the future. What challenges do arise and which concepts are already being discussed? As a former innovation manager working for Philips, Alcatel and Motorola among others, Dr. Dutiné presents corresponding concepts for major companies. In addition, Prof. Henke, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML, will present specific services of the competence center "Mittelstand 4.0".

Panel discussion
At the end of the event, the high-level experts will discuss the basic concepts, but above all the actual support for the implementation of digitalization measures in your company.

Exhibition
Parallel to the event, we would like to offer our IVAM members the opportunity to present themselves in a display exhibition. As exhibition space is limited we distribute it on a first come, first serve basis. Members should give quick feedback as we consider the incoming requests according to the date of receipt.

Participation
IVAM members do participate in the IVAM High-Tech Summit at no charge. Non-members pay a participation fee of 189,- Euros (plus VAT).

Registration
Please find the application forms in the download area above on the right side of this page.
