For several years Deutsche Messe AG has been organizing well-known special trade shows at the HANNOVER MESSE on an international level. The trade fair business is concentrating on target markets such as China, South East Asia or Brazil. In India, as an emerging industrial nation, trade fairs such as the Industrial Automation, MDA or CeMAT have been realized successfully, too.

From December 6-9, 2011 the Laser India was held in Bangalore for the first time. 400 exhibitors from 25 nations presented laser technology solutions for materials handlings and surface protective coatings as well as for motion, drive and automation technology. As a long-time partner of Deutsche Messe AG, the IVAM Microtechnology Network has taken part in the show as a visitor to score the possibilities of a participation in 2012. Well-known exhibitors such as BOSCH Rexroth, Festo and Turck have been in Bangalore. The subject area laser was represented by key players such as Coherent Inc. from USA, SPI Lasers UK Ltd. or LASERLINE GmbH from Germany. The diode-laser manufacturer LASERLINE, whose biggest customers are Volkswagen and Audi, showed a topical overview of the industrial production in the section of automotive engineering. Altogether the lectures on the topics “Lasers in Manufacturing” and “Lasers for Surface Treatment” were very international and well-visited.

In November 2012 the second Laser India will take place in Dheli. It is planned that interested companies, which are working in the field of laser manufacturing or laser materials processing, will present themselves to the Indian market under the roof of IVAM Microtechnology Network. The organization of a business forum similar to the forums that have already taken place for several years in Japan, Taiwan and Korea, will also be regarded as an option for this year’s trade show.
